Referrals are accepted from family physicians only
Dr. Kichian does not accept self-referrals from patients. Patients seeking a consultation should first speak with their family physician, who can fax a referral to (613) 728-0091 on office letterhead.

The patient’s email address is crucial for scheduling
Please make sure the patient’s current email address is included on the referral. Our office uses the Ocean Platform to send appointment confirmations and reminders — without a valid patient email we cannot coordinate the setup of the virtual consultation or procedure booking.
A patient cellphone number that can receive text messages is also helpful, as the Insig Health video link is sent by SMS 15 minutes before the appointment.
Family physician prepares the referral
Only referrals from a family physician (or another treating physician) are accepted. Include the patient's history, indication, and pertinent investigations.

Family physicians should fax completed referrals to (613) 728-0091 on office letterhead. Fax is our preferred and secure channel — please do not send PHI by unsecured email.
We review
Our team screens each referral for urgency and confirms fit for the appropriate visit type.
Timely acknowledgment
Your office will hear back within two weeks; urgent referrals are prioritized.
Coordinated care
Findings and recommendations are shared back promptly through secure physician-to-physician channels.
